Rich textures and materials have been used since the middle ages in noble families.During the Renaissance, Italian tasteful and elegant fashion deeply influenced the fashion in other European countries. France started importing Italian fashion since the expedition of Charles VII in Italy in the 15th Century. You will learn the origins of what we call "Made in Italy" visiting the Historical Costume Museum, its development, with a visit to the Ferragamo and Gucic Museums and learn about the trade of wool and leather in Florence since the middle age.

You will walk along the streets and squares that saw the birth of one of
the most important industries in Italy: fashion. You will visit squares
were wool, leather and other materials were traded, and visit the
Historic Museum of Costume and the Ferragamo and Gucci Museums.
