Itinerary

Tour Route:
The tour begins atop Colle Oppio, with a panaromic view of the most famous of all the Roman symbols...The Colosseum. After this we will venture inside the great Amphitheatre through our special Skip the Line access to the Colosseum. Once inside, your expert guide will talk you through the bloody past of the Colosseum as you listen to tales of gladiators, mock-sea battles and executions.

After a brief look at the Arch of Constantine we will begin a tour of
the Palatine Hill, the most famous of the 7 hills of Rome!
According to legend, this is this hill upon which the City of Rome was born. From here we can admire the view of Circus Maximus...Imperial Rome's horse racing circuit...and the magnificence of the Imperial Forum.

Legend holds that Romulus and Remus have been found on the Palatine Hill by a she-wolf who nursed and raised them, and that Romulus went on to found Rome.

Continuing on, we will walk along the "Via Sacra" or "Sacred Way" of the Roman Forum that was for a long time the scene of many religious and triumphant processions and festivals.

The Via Sacra ends at the Temple that houses the altar where Julius Caesarwas cremated and where visitors from all over the world still leave candles and flowers today.
