Olive Oil, or the "liquid gold", has always been present in the Mediterranean culture, associated with religion in the Baptism, in medicine, in several magical rites and most of all, the very base of the Mediterranean cooking. A visit in Florence, discovering the magnificence of the Renaissance, will be complete only after learning about the "humble" olive tree that populates many Florentine paintings and the countryside around Florence, and tasting the delicious fruit and its oil.
Tuscany has a variety of climates and soils, and the beautiful vigorous olive trees growing in Tuscany produce some of the best Olive Oils in Italy.

In a historical location you will be offered a selection of the best Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oils. Our tasting path will wind between the varieties of olive groves in Tuscany and the most representative among the spicy "Olio Novo" (New Oil) of the Chianti Classico, coming up to the Tyrrhenian Sea in the area of Bolgheri. Then up again towards the Tuscan-Emilian borders, where the Tuscan tradition meets another great product of the tradition, the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. We will then taste some exquisite balsamic vinegar mustards and a selection of cheese to accompany the tasting.
