The Accademia Gallery is famous for its sculptures of Michelangelo and for the David in particular.
You will visit this amazing building made of two ex convents transformed into a Gallery in the 19th century, to keep a collection of works of art from the Academy of Design and the Academy of Fine Arts as well as from the suppressed convents. The Accademia Gallery holds a number of religious paintings, plasters and sculpture dating back to the 13th century.
